WEEK 03 COMPUTER AND INTERNET

WEEK O3:
In this week we started with the computer software basics and we know that this is the intagible parts of the computer. They are also catagoised into;
System software which cotrols and maintains the operations of the computer and the devices.
Appliation software which assissts users with their tasks andmake them productive.
Programming Language enables users to communicates instructions to a computer.
We also discussed the software layers which include the computer users, application program, operating system, device drivers, and system software. More details where given on the system software, operating systems and its functions, user-Interface types of oparating systems, Utilty Programs, and protecting your computer.

 Programming Language was introduced which is the languge used for communicating istructions to the computer. There are two major types of programming languages that is Low-Level Language and High-Level Lnguage. Low level language consists of Machine language and Assembly language meanwhile, High level language are machine ndependent and more user friendly. And we also discussed the Program development process.
The evolutin of the High level languages includes; third generation languages, fourth generation languages and the fifth generation languages which are more powerful than the  assembly language.
In session 3 we continued to analyse the application software  and we say that they are available in variety of forms. We continued by analysing the Business application software, Graphics and Multimedia, Educational softwares, communication software, specialized purpose software, open source software, freeware, software suite, upgrades, Global software support and copyrights.The wrapped was done on how to handle software.
