COMPUTER AND INTERNET BLOGS



PERSONAL INFORMATION
My name is Yahya Bakhit a Ugandan aged 21years, am the second born in a family of 9 children. My parents are Bakhit Sadik and Zainabu Akumu.

My family lives in the northern part of Uganda in a small town called Paidha situated in a newly created district of Zombo. I completed both my O and A level in a school called St. Aloysius College Nyapea from 2005 to 2010 and now doing Foundation Programme in Albukhary International University.

WEEK 1
In this week we got to know what that a computer is  a programmable machine that carries out the task it has been instructed to do.
Basically the computer can input,process, output and store data as well as communicating information. The above five activities form the information processing cycle. But the processing requires a set of instructions known as programs or software.
The components of the computer includes the Hardware and the software. The hardware are the physical parts while the software are the set of instructions/programs. The other components are the users/people and the information. we can rely on the computer because of its speed, reliability, consistency, storage, and communication.

In the same week we also got to know about Decimal Number Systems, Binary Number Systems, Octal Number Systems,and Hexadecimal Number Systems.
We also learn about Decimal to Binary Conversion, Binary to Octal Conversion, Octal to Decimal Conversion, Decimal to Hex Conversion, and Hex to Decimal Conversion.
We summarised the week by learning about Binary data conversion, Computer Data Representation and Standard data representation.
